Low spreads for gold

I was looking for a new broker with low spreads, especially for gold trading. I opened an account and deposited some funds, mainly to try out their gold trading options. I compared their spreads to what I was getting at my old broker and these were definitely lower, which was the main draw for me. The account opening process was a bit standard, had to upload a few documents, but it wasn't overly complicated. I also noticed they offer a referral bonus, so I'll probably look into that if I stick with them for a while. So far, it seems like a decent value for what I'm paying in spreads.

Used MetaTrader 4

I signed up for a Forex account and used MetaTrader 4. It was pretty easy to get started, you know, just like setting up any other trading account. The platform worked fine, no real hiccups. I placed a few trades, nothing major. Overall, it was a smooth experience. I might try the futures next time if I get around to it.

ECN account, zero commission

I opened an ECN account with zero commission trading and I love it! The spreads are super tight, exactly what I was looking for. Navigating the platform was straightforward, and I was trading Forex in no time. I'll definitely be back for more and I've already told my trading buddies about it. Seriously good stuff!

Anyone know what the minimum deposit is to open a live account? Just trying to get a feel for how much I need to start.

S Steven P. 2 weeks ago
I think it's usually around $100 for most of their standard accounts, but might vary a bit depending on the account type.

J Jacob Allen 2 weeks ago
Pretty sure it's $100 for the basic accounts, but if you go for some of the more advanced ones, it could be higher.

Is Tradeview Markets actually an ECN broker? Some places say they are but then you find out it's hybrid or something.

R Ryan H. 1 month ago
They totally are, their Innovative Liquidity Connector is basically their ECN setup. That's what drew me to them.

Yes, they pride themselves on their ECN execution. It's one of their main selling points.

Hey guys, thinking about moving my forex trading over to Tradeview. Anyone know if they actually let US clients open accounts?

K Katie Taylor 1 month ago
Yeah, they do. I'm in Texas and opened an account with them a few months ago, no problem.

Pretty sure they do, I've seen other traders from the US mention using them. Just double check their sign-up page for any recent changes.

Does Tradeview have MetaTrader 5? I'm kinda used to MT5 and don't wanna switch platforms if I don't have to.

E Ella Mitchell 2 weeks ago
Yep, they have both MT4 and MT5. You can pick which one you want when you set up your account.

Confirmed, they offer MT5. I'm using it with them right now for my stock CFDs.

Heard about some brokers having crazy slow withdrawals. How long does it usually take to get your money out of Tradeview?

M Michelle S. 2 weeks ago
Usually a couple of business days for me to hit my bank account. Pretty standard.

S Sofia P. 1 week ago
It varies a bit based on your payment method, but I've always gotten my money within 3-5 business days. Never had an issue.

What's the deal with their spreads? Are they actually as low as they advertise, or is it one of those bait-and-switch things?

E Emma 2 weeks ago
From my experience, the spreads are genuinely low, especially on their ECN accounts. Been pretty happy with it.

M Michael W. 2 weeks ago
They are usually pretty tight, especially during active market hours. Not the absolute lowest I've seen across all pairs, but definitely competitive.

How does Tradeview Markets compare to IC Markets? I'm trying to decide between the two for forex.

J John Diaz 4 weeks ago
Both are solid, but Tradeview's spreads are often better, especially on certain pairs. IC Markets might have a slightly wider range of instruments though, I think.
3
J Justin 4 weeks ago
I've used both. Tradeview feels a bit more geared towards professional traders with their liquidity setup, while IC Markets is more general. Spreads are competitive on both.
